What is Critical Peak Pricing?

Critical Peak Pricing is an optional summer rate that gives you a discount on electricity during off-peak and mid-peak hours in exchange for a higher charge on electricity use during Peak Events. When you enroll in My Energy Optimizer, you will have the option to sign up for our Critical Peak Pricing Rate. In addition to saving by reducing your electricity use during Peak Events, when energy costs are highest, you can save even more by shifting your appliance use to low-cost off-peak or mid-peak hours.
It is highly recommended not to adjust your thermostat during an event as energy usage will cost significantly higher during the timeframe of the event if you are enrolled in the CPP rate.
